Standing Up For Skins Tix - D.C. Sports Blog

I had a chance to be one of the 5 finalists. They called me and told me I was one of the 5 finalist. I needed to be at Union Station at 11:00am the next day and plan on being there for 24 hours. Of course, work and other commitments didn't allow me to be there for 24 hours. Damn responsibility!

The Museum of Forgotten Art Supplies

This is how I started with graphics. I have used almost all of the tools and supplies at one time or another. Many of them are in boxes in my basement and haven't seen the light of day for close to 15 years.

Red Zebra buys WTEM

Not sure if this a good thing or a bad thing. I am fans of both stations and have followed WTEM since they started in '92.

Getting Old

I played volleyball last Friday for the first time in a while. I think my skills were pretty decent especially considering how long it had been since I last played. The hard part was how I felt afterwards. As soon as we stopped playing I could feel my muscles and joints start to ache.

We played indoors on a older wooden surface. It was definetly not an air cushioned surface. I felt just how solid the floor was every time I dove for a ball or went down on my knees to make a shot. I had several bumps and bruises when we were done.

By the time we got home I felt like I could barely move. It felt so good to sit down and do nothing for the rest of the night. My 43 year-old legs hurt the rest of the weekend. It was painful going up and down the stairs let a lone getting up out of the chair.

Basically it means I am getting old. Actually I think my body is already there but my mind is laging a couple of decades.
